4. Research support tool — not professional advice
Important disclaimer
VibeResearch is a research support and productivity tool. It is not a licensed medical device, clinical decision-support system, or professional advisory service of any kind.
Specifically:
- Not medical advice: Nothing generated by VibeResearch constitutes medical advice, clinical diagnosis, prognosis, or treatment recommendation. Do not use statistical outputs, ML model outputs, or AI-generated text as a basis for clinical decisions about individual patients.
- Not legal advice: Nothing on the platform constitutes legal, regulatory, or compliance advice.
- Not a substitute for professional statistical review: AI-generated Results paragraphs, Methods paragraphs, and statistical interpretations are drafts produced by a large language model. They have not been reviewed by a qualified biostatistician or clinician. You are responsible for verifying all outputs before use in publications, submissions, or institutional reports.
- Not for emergency or real-time clinical use: VibeResearch must not be used for emergency medical decision-making, real-time patient management, or any application where an error could cause direct harm to individuals.
- No guarantee of publication or acceptance: Use of VibeResearch does not guarantee that analysis outputs, manuscripts, tables, or reports will be accepted by any journal, conference, ethics committee, or regulatory authority.
- No guarantee of correctness: Statistical and ML outputs depend entirely on the quality, completeness, representativeness, and appropriateness of the data and analysis choices provided by the user. VibeResearch does not validate whether the selected analysis is appropriate for the user's specific study design, sample characteristics, or research question.
5. Accounts
You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your login credentials. You may not share your account with other individuals. Each account is for personal use by the registered user only.
You must notify us at support@viberesearchers.com if you believe your account has been accessed without your authorization.
6. Uploaded data — your responsibilities
You are solely responsible for the data you upload to VibeResearch. By uploading data, you represent and warrant that:
- You have the legal right, authorization, and any required institutional or ethical approval to upload, store, and process the data on a cloud-hosted platform.
- If the data contains information about human subjects, you have obtained appropriate informed consent or are authorized under an applicable exemption.
- If the data contains personal health information, patient records, or other legally regulated data, you have de-identified it in compliance with applicable law and institutional policy, or you hold the specific legal authority to process it in this manner.
- You are not uploading data on behalf of another person or organization without their explicit authorization.
- You have reviewed and verified variable definitions, analysis settings, and outputs before use in publications, reports, or decisions.
We do not independently review, validate, or audit uploaded datasets. We are not responsible for any consequences arising from the upload or processing of data that does not comply with these requirements.
Externally imported data (FRED, URL)
When you import data using the External Data Import feature, the same responsibilities that apply to uploaded data also apply to imported data. In addition:
- You are responsible for complying with the applicable terms of use, license, and copyright of the external data source you import from.
- FRED data is provided by the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis and must be used in accordance with the FRED Terms of Use.
- For URL imports, you are responsible for verifying that downloading and using the data complies with the source website's terms of use, applicable copyright law, and data licensing requirements.
- VibeResearch is not responsible for any compliance violations arising from your import or use of externally sourced data.
7. AI and ML features — limitations and user responsibility
AI research assistant and text generation
VibeResearch uses a third-party AI inference provider (Groq) for the research assistant chat and AI report-text generation features. When you use these features:
- A compact dataset summary (filename, row count, column count, column names and types) is sent to the AI provider — not your raw data values.
- For report text, aggregated statistical results (such as p-values, coefficients, and sample size) are sent — not raw dataset rows.
- AI responses are generated probabilistically and may contain errors, inaccuracies, or statistically inappropriate language.
- You must review all AI-generated content before using it in any publication, presentation, or submission.
- AI outputs represent research support assistance — not the opinion of a licensed statistician, clinician, or any qualified professional.
VibeResearch Guide (AI sales and support assistant)
VibeResearch Guide is a site-wide floating AI chat assistant that helps answer general questions about the product, plans, features, navigation, and billing. When you use VibeResearch Guide:
- Guide provides general product information only — not medical, statistical, legal, or professional advice of any kind.
- Plan recommendations are illustrative based on information you provide — refer to the Pricing page for accurate and up-to-date details.
- Guide does not have access to your datasets, analysis results, or any research data. For analysis support, use the AI Research Assistant.
- Only safe session metadata (page key, plan label, dataset filename, and row/column count) is sent to Groq — not raw data values.
- Message content is not stored in Supabase. Only usage metadata (token counts, timestamps, model name) is written to an internal audit log.
- Guide requires sign-in to receive AI-assisted responses. Unauthenticated users may still use the static topic chips.
ML prediction, SHAP, and feature importance
The ML Prediction feature runs machine learning models (e.g., logistic regression, random forest, XGBoost) on your uploaded dataset. When using these features:
- Model performance (AUC, accuracy, F1, etc.) depends on data quality, sample size, missing values, class imbalance, preprocessing steps, and the model selected.
- SHAP values and feature importance plots are interpretability estimates — not validated causal relationships.
- Model results should be reviewed by a user with appropriate understanding of machine learning methods in their research domain.
- Do not use ML prediction scores or feature rankings as the sole basis for clinical, policy, or other high-stakes decisions.
- ROC curves, confusion matrices, and model comparison metrics are evaluation support tools — not guaranteed performance in real-world populations.
8. Saved results and exports
VibeResearch allows you to save analysis results (tables, figures, model metrics) to the Results Library and export them in PNG, SVG, CSV, Word, or copy-to-clipboard format. When using these features:
- You are responsible for reviewing saved or exported content before sharing, publishing, or incorporating it into a manuscript.
- Saved results reflect the state of the analysis at the time of saving. Subsequent changes to data or settings will not automatically update previously saved results.
- We do not guarantee that saved results will be retained indefinitely. Results may be subject to account data retention policies.
- You retain full ownership of results and figures exported from your research.
9. Learn resources and third-party links
The Learn page provides statistical learning lessons and a Research & Statistics newsfeed containing links to content from trusted external sources (e.g., BMJ, The Lancet, Cochrane, EQUATOR). Regarding these resources:
- Lesson content on VibeResearch is for educational and research support purposes — not official statistical, medical, or regulatory advice.
- VibeResearch is not responsible for the content, accuracy, availability, or currency of any external website.
- Links to external sources do not constitute endorsement by VibeResearch of those organizations, publications, or their conclusions.
- We do not control and are not responsible for the privacy practices of external websites you visit via the newsfeed.
10. Subscriptions and payments
Monthly subscription plans
- Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period (monthly, 6-month, or annual, as selected).
- You may cancel at any time. Access continues until the end of the current paid billing period. After that, your account returns to the Free tier.
- A 7-day free trial is offered on first subscription signup. The trial is granted once per account lifetime and cannot be restarted.
